Forward-thinking companies consider sustainability as a vehicle to better navigate material risks , as well as opportunities to create competitive advantage for long-term value creation . Research also suggests that companies with good sustainability programs are more likely to attract employees , especially among younger generations , so it could also be a way for companies to attract the best talent in today ’ s competitive employment environment .
