Initially , Valgroup focused on recycling plastics because virgin resin was not available for purchase , so he had to start recycling to produce bags . From there , he grew the business to what it is today – a second-generation family business operating in seven countries . Sustainable solutions
Following on from that , Carlo gives us an indepth overview of Valgroup ’ s diverse plastic packaging offerings and the services that complement them . “ Put simply , we produce a vast portfolio of plastic packaging that is found in supermarkets , including bottles , caps , jars , and labels , as well as all flexible packaging like monomaterial film , barrier film , printed film , shrinkable film , stretch film and biaxially oriented polypropylene ( BOPP ) film . Recently , we launched a dedicated digital printing unit , which offers the flexibility to meet the demands of a market for small volumes and enables the production of customized packaging with agility and precision . At the same time , we recycle significantly in line with our groupwide goal to recycle 100 percent of everything we manufacture . This year , we achieved 25 percent of this target , and we are investing substantially in recycling services and solutions for our customers .
