Midlands & West Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020 , Kiernan Steel made significant investments into expanding and upgrading its manufacturing facility . The project started in December 2014 with the aim of optimizing the company ’ s production line and introducing new technologies , and it was completed just four months later in April 2015 . Expanding its facility from 4500 square meters to its current 15,000 square meters , Kiernan Steel installed a brand-new state-of-the-art post fabrication shot blasting machine and an automated plate line machine .
