The business was originally established in 1934 as General Instruments & Controls, but after several years of M & A activity, Novaspect adopted its current name in 1997 following the merger of two longstanding process management companies, General Meters & Controls Company and Read Process Controls Company. In 2011 Novaspect made two acquisitions( Able Technologies & Field Services and Midwest Valve Services) to rapidly accelerate its presence in industrial aftermarket services.
