Mid-West Company components that maintain project integrity while upholding value and a competitive advantage for the customer.
It is thanks to the innovation and technical superiority of DMW’ s solutions that it works with blue-chip clients such as Stellantis, Ford and Amazon. One recent noteworthy project was undertaken for Toyota, where DMW successfully completed the Toyota Indiana TR2 to CH2 Buffer Expansion.
Toyota’ s primary objective for the buffer zone expansion was to increase jobs per minute throughput by five vehicles. The project entailed obsolete system demolition, sustainable repurposing and installation of customer materials, and the installation of a screen guard over a high traffic and critical work zone.
A key element of this project’ s success was close collaboration between departments. Open and clear cross organizational communications were essential to meet customer requirements and ensure that a
‘ safety first’ mindset was present throughout the installation process. In fact, DMW maintained a zero-incident safety record throughout the project. This close collaboration also helped ensure that the project process was driven by lean philosophies. DMW is proud to have successfully delivered this project to Toyota, while demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and lean manufacturing principles.
The Toyota case study can be used as an illustration of DMW’ s focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations. With all projects upheld by the three core values of integrity, trust, and understanding, DMW delivers to a superior standard. As it moves into the future, it is set to maintain its position as one of the most recognized and respected full-service material handling companies worldwide. ■
