Evolution in motion

The technology behind Multi-Wing’ s rapid global growth

With nearly nine decades of aerodynamic expertise, Multi-Wing has evolved from a small Danish workshop into one of the world’ s most specialized fan and airflow solution partners. What began with mechanical impellers for diesel engines has become a global technology platform enabling quieter, more energy-efficient cooling for industries as diverse as HVAC, data centers, agriculture, and construction.

The company’ s heritage in modular impeller design remains central, but its mission now extends beyond airflow components to complete, optimized air-moving systems, integrating motors, electronics, and smart controls to improve performance and sustainability across applications.
COO Morten Knudsen explains how Multi- Wing’ s aerodynamic expertise and global presence are helping industries meet new performance and efficiency challenges.
“ We operate worldwide across North and South America, Europe, China, India, Southeast Asia, and Australia,” Morten begins.
“ Our core strength has long been in the offhighway market, covering engine cooling for construction and agricultural machinery. As this sector moves toward electrification, we’ ve developed the DCmax™ series: aerodynamically optimized, energy-efficient electric axial fans. The series are perfect for cooling powertrains in electric and hybrid systems, but also brings notable efficiency gains for traditional diesel engines.”
To meet stricter performance and emissions standards, Multi-Wing has also introduced the PMAX impeller series, engineered to deliver higher pressure and improved efficiency across a wide range of off-highway cooling systems.
“ We have a long development history with impellers; some of the designs we created in the 1960s and 1970s are still in production today,” Morten notes.“ Our latest generation builds on that legacy with a complete portfolio from 30 centimeters to 2.5 meters in diameter, giving OEMs precise control over airflow and performance.”
Beyond off-highway equipment, Multi-Wing continues to innovate in HVAC / R applications, from industrial and commercial ventilation to refrigeration and heat exchange. Its C- and L-series axial fans are designed to meet stringent lownoise and high-efficiency requirements, helping customers achieve better energy performance and lower operating costs in modern building environments.
