Hello and welcome to the latest issue of Manufacturing Today. I am thrilled to include a review of the recent Manufacturing Data Summit Europe( MDSEU) in our pages this month – what a fantastic day it was. It’ s been a while since I have attended an event in person, and I felt very lucky that my first outing was to such a wellexecuted, interesting, and busy conference. Read more about the topics discussed on page 32 and sign up for next year!

Of course, the themes from MDSEU are so topical that they are touched on in our features – innovation and digital transformation, data, and ERP and quality are all covered. But it’ s not all IT – DS Smith offers an overview of barrier technology in packaging, too.
PS: Looking forward to next year – if there are topics you want to see in MT, just let me know.
