to subcontract testing, we gain more control over timelines, and a faster turnaround supports our ability to meet increasingly demanding customer schedules. This aligns with Evtec’ s broader goals of reinvestment and capability expansion.”
Continuing the theme of technology, Evtec has recently embarked on a digital transformation of its Coventry facility, which Kevin says enables the business to connect and monitor its varied manufacturing facilities in real-time.“ Our main facility is built around a robust SQLbased ERP system, forming the backbone of a connected digital ecosystem,” he explains.“ Real-time data flows between people, machines and systems, driving efficiency, uptime, and responsiveness across our operations. Real-time integration of performance data, OEE, and RFT with planning, job allocation, receipts, and quality inspection enables our production team to resolve issues proactively and maintain smooth, uninterrupted flow.”
Alongside inclusivity and innovation, sustainability is also high on Evtec’ s list of importance. The company is actively working toward its goal of becoming a net-zero business by implementing several energy-saving measures, which Kevin expands on:“ In order to reach our netzero goals, we’ ve installed solar panels at our Coventry facility to harness renewable energy, and we’ ve converted to energyefficient LED lighting, reducing overall power consumption. We also conduct monthly energy usage reviews, enabling the team to identify trends and implement targeted action plans for further reductions.”
Looking to the future, Evtec has a‘ cautious yet positive’ outlook for 2026 and beyond.“ Our position within the UK automotive supply chain requires us to react and adapt quickly to the challenging demands of the industry,” concludes Kevin.“ Evtec is working closely with our customer base on future business, working diligently to onboard new customers and exploring broader investment opportunities. Over the next five years, we want to strengthen our position as a leading Tier 1 supplier within the UK and global automotive supply chains, expand partnerships with leading OEMs, and explore further opportunities to expand our in-house manufacturing capabilities.
“ We plan to continue the smart factory transformation which will support scalable growth and an agile response to market demands. Finally, we will continue to champion inclusive employment, developing even stronger partnerships with schools and colleges to reaffirm our longterm commitment to social responsibility.” ■
