Continuous investment in technology and processes allows CPL to remain a leader in vehicle conversions

Since 2011, CPL has delivered optimized vehicle conversion solutions, earning its place among the industry’ s foremost specialists. The company was founded following a successful infrastructure revitalization project in Iraq, where vehicles were adapted for highly specific operational roles, enabling engineering teams to restore citywide electrical networks.

Recognizing an opportunity to offer these services on a larger scale, CEO, Paul Murphy, and Strategic CFO, Michela Murphy, established CPL in the UK. The company now provides a range of advanced vehicle conversion services to clients across multiple industries.
In the beginning, CPL worked primarily with 4x4-mounted cherry pickers, adapting the vehicles for off-road capabilities. As Mark discusses:“ That model grew very, very quickly.
We were offering the only purpose-built 4x4 cherry picker in the market, which really helped establish the business in its early days. Moving into 2016, we partnered with French manufacturer Klubb Group, to provide sales and distribution services across the UK.
“ This move helped expand our client base even further. We became a bigger name in the UK market and launched an importexport branch of the business. We started exporting our 4x4 products internationally, which drew the attention of investors.
“ Klubb were so impressed with our growth that they decided to invest in the business. By 2018, they had bought 75 percent of the operation, providing CPL with European backing and greater resources.”
