When Marcus Eales formed Aberlink in 1993 with business partner Gavin Bailey, his aspiration was to make coordinate metrology accessible and affordable to all. Initially launching the company with subcontract machining services, they discovered an obvious gap once the machine shop was set up – no affordable new or used coordinate measuring machines( CMMs) existed.
