Frazer began building emergency vehicles in 1985 and fully exited the oilfield industry by 2000. Since then, the company has continued to expand into mobile clinics, mobile stroke units, and specialty healthcare vehicles equipped with advanced medical technology.
“ It’ s all about making sure that we can get care for people wherever they are,” Laura says.“ There are lots of healthcare deserts around the world where access to brick-and-mortar buildings is scarce, so mobile healthcare can help address some of those access challenges.”
As Frazer enters its 70th year, that same spirit of practical innovation continues to guide the company. In January 2026, Tom Hance stepped into the role of President, bringing a focus on growth, operational discipline, and the next phase of Frazer’ s mobile healthcare platform.
“ My background has been in growing companies through innovation and taking them to the next step,” Tom says.“ Laura and I are working on the shift from product to platform. We make emergency vehicles, which are our platform for technology and innovation.”
That platform approach reflects where Frazer is headed. The company is not only building vehicles; it is developing mobile healthcare environments designed to accommodate evolving technology and care delivery models.
One of the clearest signs of that future is Frazer’ s new production facility, which opened on May 5, 2026, the same day the company marked its 70th anniversary.“ Our facility prior to that was very disjointed and spread across multiple buildings, and we needed better flow,” Laura explains. 254
