team conducts deep and thorough monthly performance reviews across operations, sales, portfolio and financial performance, alongside a monthly masterplan session focused on mid-to-long-term strategy. One of the most significant outcomes has been a significant reduction in lead times and a return to timely order fulfilment.”
To back that transformation, Det-Tronics has made substantial capital investment across three areas since Mario joined the company. The first has been acquisitions. In the last 12 months, Det-Tronics has acquired two businesses: one strengthening its mid-range market gas detection portfolio with the acquisition of Texas based R. C. Systems, and the other representing a more technology-focused play through the acquisition of Optronics in Norway. Both support the strategy’ s focus on customer
growth and innovation, with international expansion now extending its reach beyond its original regional markets. The second investment area has been research and development, where capacity has almost doubled over the past two and a half years, alongside equipment investments to bring production up to the newest standards. The third and most foundational area of investment has been enhancing its process to become best-in-class. Working with external benchmarking experts, the company changed more than 30 processes across its entire order-to-cash workflow and trained the whole organization on those processes.
