overall platform stronger. The goal is for each customer to experience one Roncelli, with specialized expertise available throughout the organization.”
As a result, the business looks very different from the one Chris joined in 2007. Over the past 15 years, Roncelli has doubled in size every five years, while scaling up its manufacturing expertise and geographic reach.“ We’ ve made a point to reinvest in the company: in people, equipment, technology, facilities, and new offerings. We also work hard to stay close to our customers. When we see their needs changing, we ask ourselves what Roncelli must do to keep supporting them five or ten years from now.” That focus is bringing the company into more programs where multiple manufacturing disciplines come together.
The launch of Roncelli Carbon Systems illustrates this trend. Aerospace, defense, and space customers are seeking solutions that combine performance requirements with
material flexibility, creating opportunities for manufacturers capable of working across a wider range of technologies.“ We’ re seeing increasing demand in aerospace, defense, and space for components that need to be lightweight, dimensionally stable, and capable of performing in demanding environments. Programs increasingly draw on several materials at once. A system may incorporate engineered plastics, metals, elastomers, graphite, and composites, rather than fitting neatly within a single manufacturing discipline.”
The Henderson facility adds carbon, graphite, and composite manufacturing capabilities, as well as domestic production capacity. At the same time, Roncelli has kept growing on other fronts. The company recently relocated Roncelli Precision Sealing to Arcadia, California, and opened a second facility in Malaysia focused on thermoplastic welding and fluid delivery systems for semiconductor infrastructure applications.
