For the past two years, Adragos Pharma( Adragos) has successfully been buying and building its way into sterile injectables. The Munichheadquartered contract development and manufacturing organization( CDMO) acquired Swiss fill-finish specialist Baccinex in November 2024, took over a sterile manufacturing site in Norway from global healthcare company Fresenius Kabi, and has since put capital into ampoule and liquid filling lines in France and Germany.

In 2026, the upgraded sterile suite at Adragos’ Swiss site was officially approved by Swissmedic, after a modernization program that ran alongside live production. The CDMO partner’ s growth follows a consistent pattern: acquire proven sterile capacity, upgrade it, and expand around it – a strategy that appears to be working very effectively. The company serves clients across Europe, Japan, and North America from a network spanning Germany, France, Switzerland, Greece, Japan, and Norway. Each site has a distinct role, with Athens housing over 3000 square meters of research and development facilities, focused on valueadded medicines and recently upgraded with high-potency API( HPAPI) capability. Jura, Switzerland, handles small-batch clinical and commercial production, while Kawagoe, Japan, specializes in ampoules, tablets, and visual inspection. Livron, France, concentrates on sterile liquids and suppositories, handling more than 100 molecules, whereas the Maisons-Alfort site fills prefilled syringes and liquid or lyophilized vials. Semi-solids and non-sterile liquids are produced in Leipzig, Germany.
Such a geographical spread allows Adragos to offer one partner from formulation to commercial supply, covering small molecules through biologicals,
