Set for success
Located on the Yonges Island in South Carolina , MTI is on the Intracoastal Waterway and accessed at the mouth of the Edisto River . This provides deep water access , allowing the site to accommodate vessels up to 380 feet long and 72 feet wide in its marine railway . MTI recently completed the construction of a new 200-foot pier , providing additional dockage space and enhancing offloading capabilities . This new pier , combined with the marine railway , has optimized MTI ’ s efficiency and production potential , as the site can now support larger vessels and have multiple vessels docked simultaneously .
In addition , MTI boasts one of the largest indoor blast and paint booths on the East Coast , with a total of 8000 square feet dedicated to this final step in the manufacturing process . The business takes pride in its blast and painting services , believing that without paint , the manufacturing process is simply incomplete . manufacturing-today . com 191
