Contributing to the local community is another key area of focus for the business , which regularly welcomes children from local schools to its manufacturing factory to learn more about the industry . Recently , the business attended St Patrick ’ s College in Dungannon , hosting a design , build and teamwork workshop to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day . Female team members from Edge Innovate spoke on their own experiences of a career in engineering and the opportunities which are available to young women looking to enter the profession . It is hoped that the work the company is doing with young people in the local community will inspire the next generation of designers and engineers .
Given its exemplary product range and strong commitment to innovation , it is unsurprising that the company has received multiple awards and accolades in a number of different areas . In April 2022 , Edge Innovate was awarded the prestigious Queen ’ s Award for Enterprise , recognizing the company ’ s excellence in International Trade . It now joins an elite group of businesses which have won multiple Queen ’ s Awards , having first received this honor back in 2019 . A few months later in May , the company made it onto the Belfast Telegraph Top 100 Companies in Northern Ireland list for 2022 and earlier this year , the business was proud to win the ‘ Excellence in Exporting ’ Award at the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards .
Looking ahead , Edge Innovate plans to continue innovating and evolving its product range , looking to build more electronic versions of its products . Within the next five years , the company hopes to double its sales and revenue ; an ambitious yet achievable target given the business ’ track record of success . ■
