Keith Brown , our visionary General Manager , honed his craft as an apprentice engineer at Fettykil paper mill from 1981 to 1988 which later became Sapphire papermill . Keith established ‘ Keith Brown Engineering ’ in 1989 and his journey spanned continents , from the UK to Ireland , Europe , Egypt , and Malaysia , accumulating invaluable experience before returning to the UK . His vision to expand the business resulted in him acquiring Glenaber Engineers in 1999 who were a leading competitor and large employer . This marked the beginning of a remarkable journey , propelling the business into machinery removal , global shipping , plant maintenance , equipment installation , turnkey projects , and Construction Design and Management ( CDM ) contracts .
