cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 40 metric tons . This unique level of flexibility has empowered Electroimpact to become the largest integrator of aircraft assembly lines in the world , working with major aerospace companies like Boeing , Kawasaki Heavy Industries , Spirit Aerospace , Xi ’ an Aircraft of China , and Bombardier , among others .
In line with its mission to be the premier supplier of automated equipment to the worldwide aircraft industry , Electroimpact hires the most talented people and empowers them to do the best job they can . By being engineer-driven , it ensures continuity throughout the project process , given that the same engineer is involved in every single stage from initial planning and development to final assembly , tooling setting , and buyoff . Moreover , the engineer that designs the tool or machine is also responsible for detailed drawings , manufacturing coordination ,
assembly , and tooling setting or machine alignment . This approach minimizes disconnects that can occur in traditional companies with separate engineers , drafters , manufacturers , and assemblers .
The unparalleled expertise of Electroimpact ’ s dedicated engineering team is showcased across a wide array of projects undertaken throughout the company ’ s extensive history . Most recently , the organization was selected for a groundbreaking project in collaboration with Rocket Lab , a global leader in launch services and space systems . In August 2024 , Rocket Lab announced the installation of the largest automated fiber placement ( AFP ) machine of its kind at its Neutron rocket production line in Middle River , Maryland . This AFP machine will allow Rocket Lab to automate the production of the largest carbon composite rocket structures ever built . Electroimpact ’ s role in
