“ From a macro-level, taking risks with acquisitions has been essential in getting us into new markets. Our goal is to acquire someone who has similar products, personalities, and bordering geographies to us. These synergistic acquisitions create more opportunities for everyone,” Ryan explains.“ For example, in 2017, we bought Werner-Todd Pump Company in Indiana, which helped us break into the Kentucky and Ohio markets, and then in that same year we bought American Controls in Michigan, which helped us get into fluid filled systems and control panels in Michigan. Acquisitions play a big part in our growth because they bring people, customers, products, and ideas together, and ultimately get everyone moving in the same direction.
“ On an internal level, we’ re pushing our people to step outside the box and take their own risks, making sure that every salesperson is comfortable selling every one of our products, which we feel has really driven more opportunities for them.”
Such acquisitions and partnerships have been pivotal throughout Anderson Process’ journey and expansion.
