“ Beyond our two European facilities, we’ re planning on expanding into China. This will bring us closer to Asian markets, provide access to cutting-edge automotive platform developments, and strengthen proximity to our Chinese shareholders.”
The new locations will join the wider push for increased automation and integration of smart factory technologies across the organization:“ We have developed a roadmap to fully incorporate smart technology practices and tools across the company. The key driver for this, aside from being able to automate certain processes, is that when you have more complete data you can understand the parameters and limitations of your processes. When manufacturing more complex products, for example, it allows you to isolate where any deviation
occurs and correct it. It also enables you to drastically increase the efficiency of your logistical operations.
“ Having locations in each region we serve also furthers this aim. Having a presence in China, for example, means shipping throughout Asia is faster, and requires fewer road or air miles and so is better for the environment. It also helps to navigate complex regulatory frameworks; by having locations in the Americas, in Asia, and in Europe, operations become significantly more efficient than exporting to all locations from one central hub.”
Before outlining the company’ s longerterm goals, Rob highlights how a recent acquisition of a coating business has benefited Nedschroef:“ Previously we had coating as an external process. We bought Leist in 2024, which has three locations. This addition to the organization has enabled what we call a push-pull strategy. This means that once the hardware products
