We sat down with the CEO, Rob Janssen, who shares some more detailed insights into the company’ s operations today:“ We primarily focus on producing standard and special fasteners for the automotive industry. We serve almost all the car brands you can imagine, including VW, BMW, Bugatti, Nissan, Toyota, Land Rover, Ford and even F1 teams like McLaren and Red Bull Racing. We are also beginning to expand our range of more complex products, which require further processing like grinding, milling, or utilizing assembly technologies. Alongside this, we are expanding our footprint in the aviation and other associated industries to create a more complementary offering.
“ We are transitioning towards becoming a full-service supplier, offering, on top of the traditional hardware, assistance for our customers trying to navigate the complex automotive supply chain. This approach not only reduces cost for our customers, but it
also makes everything else more efficient and benefits the environment by having fewer shipments and traffic on the road.
“ In coordination with these developments we have also adopted AI data analysis tools, which help make predictions about what a customer may order next. This helps to reduce any wastage and stock buildup of incorrect parts. Initially we ran pilot schemes of this new service offering with a few major clients; it has been received extremely well, with one of the CEOs saying he has full trust and confidence that we are moving in the right direction.”
As the company grows and evolves, so does its need for facilities. Adding to its global network of locations, Rob outlines the benefits of two new plants the business has opened in Spain and Bulgaria:“ Part of the motivation behind selecting these locations was value, but it is more nuanced than simply cost- though many people make the mistake of conflating the two!
