Through a powerful combination of research scientists and formulation, Cultech proudly provides fully integrated manufacturing services with unique formulations, innovative presentations, and high-quality finished products. As global interest in supplements continues to grow, the organization is well-positioned to leverage its scientific credentials and intellectual property to successfully compete on an international scale. Manufacturing Today sits down with Pablo Abrahams, General Manager of Cultech, to dive deeper in the company’ s R & D processes and uncover what its next chapters might hold.
“ We have a comprehensive R & D team and have conducted 35 double-blind placebo controlled human clinical trials over the last 25 years into probiotics and gut health,” Pablo begins.“ These trials have been supported by continuous in vitro and in vivo studies,
resulting in the publication of over 100 peer reviewed scientific publications.
“ We stay on top of the latest trends in research and product development by staying close to our customers and listening to the demands of the marketplace. We also attend scientific conferences and trade exhibitions which provide further insights into growing trends. And sometimes, the team just comes up with great ideas!”
From initial concept through to final formulation, Cultech’ s New Product Development( NPD) team develops and refines each product to meet precise customer requirements. In the NPD laboratory, samples are created and rigorously tested to ensure everything from taste and flavor to active ingredient recovery performs exactly as it should. Every detail is scrutinized at lab scale, including bulk density, powder flow, particle size, capsule fill, water activity, and probiotic
