From its plating roots, the company expanded steadily and deliberately into a multi-facility organization serving aviation, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, and the ice and recreation markets.
From one shop to a North American footprint
As customer needs evolved, so did the business. In 1975, Cadorath moved beyond plating into auger manufacturing in Winnipeg- an expansion that opened a lasting chapter in agriculture and even the ice industry, including manufacturing Zamboni augers.
In 1990, the company opened an auger facility in Orion, Illinois, to support major agricultural OEMs. That same year marked a pivotal moment with the launch of aviation piece part MRO in Winnipeg.

“ That was my dad’ s passion project,” says Brandy.“ It became a turning point for the entire company.”
Two years later, Cadorath Aerospace Distribution( CADI) was established to create an exchange pool that keeps aircraft operators moving with ready-to-go parts.
By 2005, aviation MRO expanded to Lafayette, Louisiana, to support heavy helicopter activity in the Gulf of Mexico. In 2010, the company partnered to launch Meridian Helicopters, adding Bell 206 repair, refurbishment, and leasing. Additional auger capacity followed around 2021 in the Bettendorf / Quad Cities region, purposebuilt to support John Deere. In 2023, M250 / RR300 engine shops opened in both Lafayette and Winnipeg.
Today, Cadorath operates across Winnipeg; Orion, Illinois; Bettendorf / Quad Cities, Iowa; and Lafayette / Broussard, Louisiana- strategic locations that keep the company close to customers and help reduce turnaround times.
