Upholding a legacy spanning 50 + years, SADEV Industries is regarded as a pioneer in motorsport transmission systems. Established from humble roots in historical Saint-Prouant, France, SADEV has transformed from a precision-machining subcontractor to a global leader in the production of high-performance drivetrain technology.
The company was founded by Benoît and Odile Vincendeau in 1974, born from a passion for motorsport. Benoît was an autocross pilot who was unable to find a transmission that met his needs, so he designed and built his own. Brimming with entrepreneurial spirit, Benoît showcased the reliability and endurance of his gearbox with a high position during a world championship round, and his success impressed car manufacturers across the globe. Over the decades, SADEV introduced a multitude of major technological milestones as it embarked upon its growth trajectory. In 1978, the company created its first gear kit for autocross and, less than 20 years later, its first sequential gearbox in 1996. In conjunction, the business continued to expand and diversify its service offerings, integrated new heat treatment, CNC, and precision machining capabilities as it grew.
